| Body: | Beautiful Pitbull Needs home she is may be killed in a day Body: "Amy" needs your help.

She is in a high kill Shelter
From my friend Paula:
"it's called "black dog syndrom". Many loving dogs in need of good homes are being overlooked and underappreciated and under adopted at shelters nationwide and they all share the one thing in common, their "black coats".

Amy was brought to a high kill shelter in Brooklyn 6/30/2007. she is 2 years old and at 50 years she is a very healthy girl. As sweet as she is she has been overlooked by the public. It is true that black dogs and cats have a harder time at the shelter...so I am advocating for this beautiful little girl. She looks like she was in a home right before she got to the shelter due to her beautiful coat and weight. If you would like to rescue this dog please call Paula (917)325-4715. Amy is going to need plenty of exercise and would do best in a home without small children or cats. if you have dogs I can meet you at the shelter and do a meet and greet to see if they get along. This is an urgent request since the shelter gave me 24 hours to find her a home.
 thanks,
paula
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just spoke to Paula on the phone a few minutes ago. She has been trying on her own to sponsor Sweet Amy until she could at least find a safe foster home for her until a Forever Home is found. Yup, this is copied straight from Skeleton Crew's Blog on MySpace.com. I went on-line and got a few websites, but assuming the S//C Street Team was helping, thought Paula may have found a rescue solution for Amy. That's not the case. NOT YET! There IS a rescue shelter who will BOARD Amy for up to $20.00 a day, but as we spoke, both Amy and I are strapped for cash to be able to respond in that manner. However! I think we can come up with a plan...and it'll take a little "Iero-Philosophy to Make the Difference" for this cute pooch. Paula shared her e-mail address with me, as she shared her phone number in the blog. I didn't get a chance to ask her, but if she could set up a PayPal Account, (which is free to set up) and if anyone could spare even $5.00 US, or however much is the minimum through PayPal, a little can add up to enough to keep Amy safe until her Rescuer finds her! Actually, that may be YOU, my friend! Transportation can be provided-somehow, within the Continental US. Now, neither Paula or I have the room to keep Amy, and I feel really bad about that. In spite of my respect-but-fear of the breed, I understand the difficulty placing a Pit Bull can present. But, hey, Jamia and Frank have how many now??? They need a strong "Leader", and proper daily love and care. Hey, I can relate! (maybe the "leader" part is too strong for me, but...y'know)
So what I'm asking you is, if you think you can help in any way - tell a friend who may know a friend who has a few acres of land, whatever...I AM A FIRM BELIEVER in the theory of "Six Degrees Of Separation"! The solution to this pooch's dilemma is probably just 6 people away from her!
Paula's e-mail is pjjp07@verizon.net I think she'd welcome any sort of encouragement and support we can offer her. My e-mail is emilyrose2012@verizon.net if you need to get a hold of me.
Thanks for your time, compadres, and I sincerely apologise to those whose Fpages I may have just "killed"! I'm trying to help Paula keep Amy from a Fatality worse than an Fpage. Thanks for your understanding! Blessings, all!
